Showing Up for Joy

The last peach sits in the bowl on my counter.

I'm not quite getting fragrance today but I know it's there and I'm thinking about eating it. The urge to cut it up and enjoy it makes it hard to focus on writing. But it's going to be one of those days that is wide open and unplanned until evening, so I'd like to write now and then be available for what else might come as the day unfolds.

It's a bit like being available for all the good stuff that might show up today.

Well, it's not like that, it is that.

When we show up, joy, possibility, love, adventure, all the good things in life show up also. And we're there to see that they are there. It makes it easier to step into the flow of all those good things.

It's time to cut up that peach and eat it.

The Summer of Self-Love is a daily writing practice created to harness three weeks for thriving. The goal at the end is to host a dinner party. Sounds like an odd Hero's Journey, doesn't it? Most of them usually are.
